This is the replacement cushion for the ResMed AirTouch F40 full face mask. It is the ComfiSoft fabric-fused silicone cushion on its own, with the QuietAir vent ring in place. It does not include a frame, elbow, short tube or headgear.

Order it when your AirTouch F40 cushion is worn, stretched or no longer sealing. It is also the part to buy if you wear an AirFit F40 and want to try the fabric feel: the AirTouch F40 cushion fits the AirFit F40 frame directly, so you keep your frame and headgear and change only the cushion.

Choosing your size
Order the same cushion size as the one you are replacing; the size letter is printed on the cushion. If you are moving from an AirFit F40 silicone cushion, keep the same size (SW, M or L). The F40 fitting template lets you check cushion width if you are unsure.

Care and replacement
ResMed’s instructions: wash the cushion daily in warm water with a mild liquid detergent. Hand wash only, with no brush on the fabric. Squeeze out excess water and air dry out of direct sunlight. ResMed’s replacement guidance for a mask cushion is about once a month; replace sooner if it is torn, stiff or leaking.

Is this a complete mask?
No. It is the cushion only. The frame, elbow, short tube and headgear are sold separately or as part of the complete AirTouch F40 mask.
Will the AirTouch F40 cushion fit my AirFit F40?
Yes. ResMed built the AirTouch F40 on the same F40 frame as the AirFit F40, and the only difference between the two masks is the cushion, so the fabric cushion attaches to the AirFit F40 frame.
How often should I replace the cushion?
ResMed’s guidance is about once a month. Replace it sooner if the fabric is worn, the silicone has lost its shape, or you notice new leaks.
Can I put the fabric cushion in the dishwasher or washing machine?
No. Hand wash only, in warm water with mild liquid detergent, and do not scrub the fabric with a brush.
